PGCET Study ("we", "our", or "us") operates the PGCET Study mobile application (the "App").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when
you use our App. Please read this privacy policy carefully.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Your name, email address, and stream preference (MCA/MBA) when you register.
- Usage Data: Quiz scores, mock test results, study activity, videos watched, and progress data.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and push notification token for sending notifications.
- Payment Information: Subscription transactions are processed securely through Razorpay. We do not store your credit/debit card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the App's features and services.
- Personalize content based on your chosen stream (MCA/MBA).
- Track your quiz and mock test scores to show progress analytics.
- Display your rank on the leaderboard.
- Send push notifications about new content, study reminders, and updates.
- Process premium subscription payments.
- Improve the App based on usage patterns.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): For cloud hosting, database (DynamoDB), and file storage (S3). Data is stored in the ap-south-1 (Mumbai) region.
- Amazon Cognito: For secure user authentication.
- Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device data for ad personalization. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Razorpay: For processing subscription payments. See Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
- Expo Push Notifications: For delivering push notifications to your device.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on AWS servers located in India (ap-south-1 Mumbai region).
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal
information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
5. Advertisements
Free-tier users may see advertisements powered by Google AdMob, including banner ads and
interstitial ads. Premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience. AdMob may use device
identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in
your device settings.
6. Children's Privacy
Our App is intended for users preparing for post-graduate entrance exams and is not directed
at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please
contact us.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Opt-out: Disable push notifications from your device settings.
